Mr. Templer has spent his entire career within the financial services industry. He was a co-founder and senior manager of Mr. Payroll, a financial services company that franchises, supports, and operates financial service centers across the U.S. and is currently owned and operated by Cash America International. Later, he led the development of a patented automated check cashing ATM with integrated biometric identification software and decision engine. He developed and launched programs with Walmart, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Kroger, Albertsons, Texaco, et al. These experiences inspired the creation and development of VALID Systems. As co-inventor, he is the recipient of nine US patents for automated decisioning and check cashing. John Templer, Jr. lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife and children.
Mr. Clower‘s career in the financial services industry dates back 22 years. He joined VALID Systems from ACE Cash Express, where he served as Director of Self-Service Operations and oversaw product development and deployment for the automated check cashing and bill pay initiatives. Previously he was Vice President of Business Improvement with InnoVentry Corporation, where he was involved in all facets of the company’s operations, franchise services, and product and business development. It was there that Dyron led the software development and patent efforts for the first automated check cashing ATM. As co-inventor, he is a recipient of nine US patents issued for the automated check cashing process. Due to his numerous accomplishments and contributions to the creation of advanced industry systems, he is widely considered a leading authority in the self-service and financial technology arena. Dyron holds a B. S. Degree from West Texas A&M University. He resides in Fort Worth, Texas.
Prior to joining VALID Systems in 2003, Mr. Ring served as IT Architect for Spectra Marketing in Chicago, Illinois. During his five years at Spectra, Mike held a number of key positions in the Technology department focusing on web development and services. At VALID, Mr. Ring’s responsibilities include providing executive leadership as head of technology, overseeing Development, Database, Security, QA, Compliance, and Support departments. Mr. Ring has more than 17 years of technology experience, with proven areas of expertise in: infrastructure design, systems architecture, structured methodologies, Internet strategy, development life cycles and rapid deployment. Michael holds a bachelors degree in Computer Systems and Multimedia Design from Illinois Wesleyan University. He resides in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife and children.
As Chief Risk Officer for VALID Systems, La Shonna brings more than 22 years of experience in the Consumer Financial Services industry with a concentration in risk and analytics. Prior to joining VALID, La Shonna was Manager, Client Development for GE Money. While with GE she managed their two largest check cashing client accounts utilizing best practice methods to streamline operational processes and to enhance financial services product growth for all managed accounts. La Shonna also managed the product integration team for GE’s check cashing service P&L, which was responsible for successfully deploying services to over 1,000 client sites in 2005. Prior to her position with GE she held positions with 7-Eleven, Inc. as Financial Services Category Manager, ACE Cash Express and innoVentry.
